A glimpse of the garden draws the viewer into this sun-filled Italian courtyard (corte) which is an outdoor room in itself. The rose-covered wall provides privacy, while a shorter wall allows a view of the Italian countryside. Although a wonderful place for entertaining, this courtyard is also a very peaceful retreat.

I enjoy painting the essence of Italian life.
